Where My Inspiration Brews
When people stop by our booth at a comic convention, I often hear, “I just had to check out your coffee because your packaging caught my eye!” It’s one of the best compliments I can receive, and it’s a moment that never gets old. But where does that inspiration come from? How do I dream up the designs that make Comics On Coffee stand out in a sea of superheroes, collectibles, and cosplay?
A Natural Eye for Design
Looking back, I realize I’ve always had a knack for design—it’s a talent that’s been with me since childhood, even if I didn’t recognize it at the time. I was the kid who could spend hours in the toy aisle, not just begging for the latest action figure, but soaking in the colors, fonts, and layouts on every box. Cereal boxes, game boards, toy boxes—if it had a design, I studied it. I’d notice which colors popped, how the text was positioned, and which images pulled me in. Even now, I love wandering through store aisles, taking mental notes of what stands out and why.

Comic Books:
The Ultimate Inspiration
Of course, my love for comics is at the heart of everything I do. Comic book covers are masters of visual storytelling—they have to grab your attention, spark your imagination, and tell a story in a single glance. That’s exactly what I aim to do with every Comics On Coffee package: create a mini story, front and back, that makes you want to pick it up, turn it over, and dive in.
Turning Inspiration Into Packaging
When I design a coffee bag, I draw on all those years of soaking up inspiration. Each design is carefully crafted to tell a story—one that’s as exciting as the coffee inside.
I pay close attention to the little things: the way a title arches across the top, the placement of a character’s gaze, the balance between text and image. These details aren’t random—they’re the result of years of observing, remembering, and instinctively knowing what works.
The Power of Packaging
At conventions, I’ve learned just how important packaging can be. With so many booths and distractions, it’s the design that often draws people in. I’ve had countless fans tell me they stopped just to check out the artwork, and that the package itself felt like a collectible. That’s the magic I strive for: designs that don’t just hold coffee, but capture the imagination.
Always Learning, Always Inspired
Even now, I’m constantly inspired by the world around me. Whether I’m flipping through a comic, browsing a toy store, or just walking down the grocery aisle, I’m always on the lookout for new ideas. My natural eye for colors, fonts, and layouts is a gift I’m grateful for—one that’s helped shape Comics On Coffee into a brand that’s as fun to look at as it is to taste.
So next time you pick up one of our coffee bags, know that there’s a story behind every design—a story inspired by a lifetime of geeking out over the art that makes us smile.
